Installation
Go to “Plugins” > “Add Plugin”
Search for “Disqus Comment System” by Disqus
Click “Install Now”
Activate the plugin
(Automatic: easiest) From the Install page of the Disqus plugin settings, follow the Automatic Installation steps to set up Disqus on your site. During this process, you will need to create a Disqus account and register your site. This also creates the API application required for enabling Comment Syncing.
(Manual: fastest) Enter your site’s Disqus shortname in Site Configuration. This requires you to have created a Disqus account and registered your site.
NOTE: It is recommended that you backup your database before installing the plugin. Syncing comments to WordPressComment Syncing copies comments made in Disqus to your WordPress installation as backup in case you ever decide to switch back to native WordPress comments. Syncing is not enabled by default. To enable syncing, you’ll need to set it up either by creating an API application (follow instructions here) or via Automatic Installation in the plugin. Slow down website, too many ads

This is an horrible plugin. It's extremely heavy and makes your site very slow. It also put unwanted ads on your website and Disqus ask you to pay them to remove the ads. Despite what they claim, it isn't AMP Compatible, you need to create domains and tweak the code to make it AMP Compatible when they could just make it compatible right away.
Disqus only care about making money. That plugin has been abandoned for 2 years and is completely crap.

Does sync comments to Disqus, does not sync Disqus comments back. Comment attribution broken once disabled and re-enabled. Broken in the backend with non-debuggable HTTP 500 errors without any UI notification about them.
Trash if it's free.
Scam if they charge you $132 (or more) a year for it.
Avoid. Avoid at all cost.

In my website, i receive less and less comments because my readers have to go through a 1km of disqus ads to get to the comments, if only the mandatory comments were below the comments and not on top

Eu antes super recomendava o Disqus, fiz até 2 publicações no meu blog falando super bem do sistema, agora colocaram anúncios, sem nexo nenhum com seu assunto no blog, além disso não sincroniza com Wordpress os comentários, eles fazem você ficar preso neles, mesmo perdendo tudo, já desinstalei! Não recomendo!
